About Us

Hey there! We are David and Lindsey Pace, recently joined by Emerson Pace, and we have been living in Columbia, SC since Labor Day weekend 2010. We moved down here, on faith, to start the process of planting a church. We started this blog to keep our supporters, friends, and family updated on what is going on in our new world of church planting. At times, its hard to put into words exactly what we are doing... sometimes we don't even know. It seems that once we begin to feel like we know what's going on or where this path is leading us, something changes. Regardless, God has definitely been at work and continues to lead us in this direction and we will do our best to carry this work on to completion. Thanks for joining us on this journey!

The First of Many

Well, we are officially in the swing of things here. David started work on Sept. 7th and has been running full force since then. I continue to work part-time in dialysis and am also getting my photography up and going in our new area. We have been loving this new group of people that we are working and doing life with. There are so many young people and so much energy that it has been alittle bit overwhelming and is an adjustment for us given our previous situation. We are connecting with a small group that meets twice a month and are participating in services at the downtown church campus.
We are just amazed at the ways in which God has answered so many of the prayers that we have been praying over and over again these past 3 1/2 years. At the time we were praying them, we were looking for immediate answers, but God saw fit to wait and answer them in a 2-for-1 fashion and it has been amazing.
It is our intention that this will be the first of many blog posts that will keep you updated on the different happenings during our first year in the church planting world.
